Christina Noble Children's Foundation
Who is Christina Noble Children's Foundation?
The Christina Noble Children's Foundation is an International Partnership of people dedicated to serving children in need of emergency and long-term medical care, nutritional rehabilitation, educational opportunities, vocational training, job placement and the protection of children at risk of economic and sexual exploitation.
The Foundation seeks to maximize the potential of each child. This is accomplished within the context of the family and the community whenever possible and always with love and respect for the dignity of each child as an individual.
What have we done to help?
21st Century Leaders funding supported the Reintegration School founded by the Christina Noble Children's Fund in Ulaanbaatar which provides informal education, in compliance with the official curriculum, to CNCF-sponsored children and to other children who have found themselves excluded from the State system.
Many children find themselves excluded from the State system either from lack of funds or because they do not have correct residential papers. Without these Reintegration Classes the children would become part of Mongolia's growing illiteracy statistic. In early 2005, 30 children (aged 9-13 years) from deprived families were enrolled in the school and CNCF expected that 22 would successfully transfer to the State School system at the end of the school year.
